What a wonderful week! Our class had a lot of fun continuing to get to know each other and begin to get in our normal routines.
Reading: Ask your student to share about how to choose a "Good Fit Book". We related choosing a book to read to choosing a pair of shoes. We had some great conversations about what it means to make a positive digital footprint. Have your student share with you what their plan is to make a positive digital footprint.
Math: Talk with your student about how to make a place value drawing. This concept helped us to begin rounding numbers to the hundreds.
Writing: We continued our discussion about how writers get ideas. Have your student share the items that they included on their "Heart Maps". Also, ask your student to teach you a little about S.E.G. : )
GOT PENGUINS!
Our wonderful PTA is sponsoring our annual Cookie Dough Fundraiser, which began this past Thursday. Your student brought all of the materials home on Thursday. This is a wonderful opportunity for friends and family to be able to help our amazing school!! Orders are due on September 10th!
