Reading: This week, we studied story elements. We specifically took time to notice how these elements help us as readers and writers.
Math: We began our algebra unit this week. PHEW! We have decided that this is going to give us quite the challenge. We are excited to take it on!
Writing: We began our short story unit this week. We took what we were learning in reading (story elements) and applied this to creating a plan for our very on stories. Students have their ideas and our ready to write!

Friday, December 19th we will be holding a Writer's Cafe in our classroom. Students will continue to work on their Fiction stories and completing first drafts. We would love to make this special for the students and have "cafe" sort of foods for all to enjoy while working. If you wouldn't mind, we would love to have you click on the sign up genius link and sign up for a food item. Thank you so much!
