Reading: We continued with our focus of how we can connect our reading to our writing. We used our new November piece to notice beautiful language and vocabulary. Ask your student about new words that they learned from the November piece!
Math: We took our unit 2 test at the beginning of the week and students were very successful! We dove right into dividing large numbers. Have your student show you either the place value sections method or expanded notation method of division. They are both VERY different from how we all learned it!
Writing: We used all that we have learned about figurative language and put it into action for our November pieces!
