Reading: We worked tremendously hard on the Reading Acuity this week. We were able to finish and the students did great!
Math: We finished our Fractions Unit this week. Students will see how they did on the test on Monday. They all worked so hard!
Writing: We continued our persuasive unit this week. Students were able to learn how to create strong conclusions and hooks for their pieces. We are anxious to begin writing next week!
Students will be taking the State PARCC tests in the next couple of weeks. The English and Language Arts tests are scheduled for March 3rd, 4th, and 5th at 10:45. The Math tests are scheduled for March 17th and 18th at 10:45. With this being the first year of the test, we are all anxious to see it and give it our all! Parents, you can help us by trying to avoid scheduling appointments on these days and also assuring your student gets a good night sleep and a healthy breakfast! We want our brains to be ready and strong!
Our class has earned a Paw Party! We earn these for displaying respectful and kind behaviors. Students have chosen to have a pajama party, which will be this upcoming Wednesday the 25th. Students may wear their comfy jammies and bring a small stuffed animal. Mr. Welch and I will be providing root beer floats!
