Reading: This week we focused on key features of non-fiction text. The students started making a flip book, and each page contains a specific feature of non-fiction text that we have discussed.
Math: We began a new unit on Measurement. Within this unit we will cover the Metric System and converting units within the Metric System. We will also cover converting units within the Customary System which is the system we use here in the U.S..
Writing: The students have continued to work on their Biographies. They are making great progress! This week we concentrated on beautiful language and how it can be incorporated into our Biographies.

We are going to the movies! The fourth grade team will be going to see the new Disney "Monkey Kingdom" movie on April 17th! Specific information about the trip is included in your child's Friday Folder.
